Oléron Villa has been equipped as a family home complete with all of the facilities you need such as a washing machine and dishwasher together with the extras that make staying here more fun - bikes, English and French TV, a great sound system and broadband internet throughout the house.

Oléron Villa est une maison vaste et confortable, équipée avec tout le confort auquel vous pouvez vous attendre dans une maison de haut standing – matériel de cuisine, lave-vaisselle, lave-linge, mais aussi des vélos adulte, la télé câblée française et anglaise, ainsi qu'une connection internet haut-debit couvrant toute la maison.

Dining Repas
After adding the extensions(behind the door to the garage) the dining table can comfortably seat twelve people - perfect for big family meals. Of course if the weather is good then you'll want to be eating out on the terrace.
In the kitchen you'll find all of the crockery, glasses, cutlery and serving dishes that you'd expect – as well as the seaside extras such as crab-claw-crackers.
En ajoutant les allonges (vous les trouverez dans le garage), la table de salle à manger permet à une douzaine de personnes de manger sans se serrer. Bien sûr, quand le temps le permet, vous mangerez sur la terrasse.
Dans la cuisine, vous trouverez un service de table complet, ansi que les ustensiles nécessaires en bord de mer – couteaux à huitre, fourchettes à fruits de mer, etc.
Outdoor entertaining Aménagement extérieur
This is where you want to be spending your quality time!
The main patio table seats eight people and has a large parasol so that you can eat out even at the hottest times of day. There's also a small table for young children and if you need even more space then you can bring the table/parasol/chairs down from the solarium for an extra four places.
For cooking there's a charcoal barbecue.
For soaking up some rays you'll find some comfy sun loungers or you can act like you're at the beach and spread some towels out on the sandy garden. Finally the first floor solarium lets you appreciate the sun while raising you above your enthusiastic kids below.

La terrasse principale est équipée d'une grande table de jardin avec son parasol rectangulaire. Vous trouverez aussi une petite table pour enfants. Pour plus de sièges encore, un 2e salon de jardin sur le solarium peut être descendu, apportant une table et 4 chaises de plus.
Un barbecue (charbon de bois) vous attend pour de bonnes grillades.
Pour les séances bronzage, des transats colorés vous permettront des moments de détentes, ou alors, vous pouvez tout simplement étendre vos serviettes dans le jardin et vous croire à la plage. Si vous voulez vous éloigner un peu des enfants trop bruyants, le solarium vous donne un endroit calme extérieur, isolé du jardin.
Cooking Cuisine
Inside the kitchen you have everything that you'd look for – induction hob, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, pots and pans, toaster, kettle, .... If you find anything missing then just let us know and we'll try to provide it.
Of course if the weather's good (which it normally is!) then you'll want to spend as much time as possible outside and so a charcoal barbecue is provided.
La cuisine moderne est équipée de tout le matériel dont vous pouvez avoir besoin – table de cuisson à induction, four traditionel, micro-onde, casseroles et poêles, frigidaire-congélateur, grille-pain, bouilloire, cafetière, etc.
S'il manque quelque chose, dites-le nous et nous ferons de notre mieux pour y remédier. Bien sûr, s'il faut beau (ce qui est presque tout le temps le cas), vous pourrez utiliser le barbecue à charbon de bois.

Whether you're claiming to be 'working from home', just looking to keep connected or satisfying your kids' demands to have constant access you YouTube, Internet access is hugely important and 3G access in France is very expensive (and on the island very hit and miss).
Oléron Villa has wireless broadband access as well as wired broadband connections in the lounge and every bedroom.
Oléron Villa dispose d'un accès haut débit sans fil ainsi que des connexions câblées dans le salon et dans chaque chambre à coucher.
Lounge & entertainment system Salon
While you don't want to be spending your time inside, there are times (late in the evening or if the weather's bad) when you have to retire to the lounge.
The good news is that there are two comfy sofas as well as two armchairs (and lots of other chairs to use if you're a big group) as well as a great entertainment system.
Everyone gets to enjoy the HD TV, surround-sound audio-system, DVD player and iPhone dock. For the English speakers you have dozens of channels via UK Freesat (with built in DVR) and for the French, your channels are delivered to the TV via the broadband internet connection.
Vous ne venez pas passer sur l'Ile pour passer un séjour à l'intérieur. Cependant, il peut être agréable de venir se détendre dans le salon. Deux grands canapés et des fauteuils vous permettront de profiter du home-cinéma Haute Définition, de nombreuses chaînes françaises et anglaises, un lecteur de DVD et une docking station pour votre iPhone.
Cycling Vélos
One of the first things that I like to do when I arrive is to park the car and then lock away the keys for the duration. With the exception of big shopping trips, there's no need to get behind the wheel while you're staying here. The island has a great network of cycle paths (and unlike other places these are dedicated paths rather than a thin painted line along the side of busy roads). Here's a map of the major cycle paths on Ile d'Oléron but there are lots of other, smaller paths as well. One of the paths runs right in front of Oléron Villa.
In the garage you'll find two good adult bikes (together with secure locks) and a random collection of kids' bikes – if you need more then there are bike rental shops all over the island, the closest is just down the road (turn right when leaving the house) in Grand-Village.
A notre arrivée, un de nos plus grands plaisirs est de pouvoir garer la voiture et ne plus toucher aux clés (à part pour un gros ravitaillement au supermarché). En effet, tous les déplacements peuvent se faire sur des pistes cyclables très bien entretenues.
Au centre du Grand Village, vous trouverez un magasin de ravitaillement, une boulangerie et autres petits commerces, ainsi qu'un petit marché quotidien (en été). Pour plus de commerce, Le Chateau est proche et accessible en véelo. Voici une carte des principales pistes cyclables sur l'Ile d'Oléron mais il ya beaucoup d'autres, plus petits chemins ainsi. L'une des voies passe juste en face d'Oléron Villa..
Dans le garage, vous trouverez 2 vélos d'adulte et quelques vélos d'enfant. Si ça ne vous suffit pas, vous pourrez louer des vélos un peu partout sur l'île – il y d'ailleurs un magasin de location dans le village.
Cleaning Tâches ménagères
OK, cleaning isn't what at the front of your mind when you're looking forward to a holiday but it's good to know that the facilities are there.
There's a dishwasher, washing machine, hoover, iron, brushes, mops,....
If you can't face the idea of cleaning before you leave then you can arrange for a cleaner through our concierge service.
Peut-être pas la première chose à laquelle vous pensez quand vous préparez vos vacances. Cependant, sachez que la maison a un lave-vaisselle, un lave-linge et un aspirateur, ainsi qu'un fer et une table à repasser.
Si vous ne souhaitez pas faire le ménage en partant, vous pouvez réserver un nettoyant via notre service de conciergerie.
Sleeping Couchage
The house can comfortably sleep up to nine people.
The main, guest and red bedrooms all have double beds. The front bedroom has three beds. The lounge has a double sofa bed. If you have camping mattresses, tents, hammocks or any other way to sleep more people then please feel free.
If you don't want to bring your own bedding then it can be rented through our concierge service.
Les 4 chambres fournissent du couchage pour 9 personnes (3 chambres avec lit double, une chambre avec 1 lit gigogne et 1 lit supplémentaire) et le salon a un canapé–lit.
Si vous ne voulez pas d'apporter votre propre literie alors il peut être loué par notre service de conciergerie.
Bathrooms Salle d'eau
All of the showers are of the Italian/wet-room style, no curtains or stuffy plastic boxes.
The main family bathroom has a shower, basin a towel drier (as well a hairdryer). The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower, WC & basin. The guest bedroom has a shower and basin (as well as a WC next door). There are also 2 further WCs.
Note that our developers dubbed this the 'English house' because of the generous number of bathrroms!
La maison est équipée de trois salles d'eau avec douches « italiennes », de lavabos modernes avec rangement dessous, ainsi que 3 WC (2 WC indépendants et 1 dans une des salle d'eau).
